The Unsinkable Entrepreneur

The Unsinkable Entrepreneur

Last Tuesday 21st April, the Atlantic Shackleton Global Foundation hosted the Irish premiere of The Unsinkable Entrepreneur at the Irish Institute of Music & Song and The Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan.

The film follows entrepreneur and sailor Enda O’Coineen’s remarkable journey competing in the Vendée Globe, one of the world’s most demanding solo around-the-world ocean races. Winner of Best International Documentary at the Newport Beach Film Festival, it was shown to an Irish audience for the very first time.

The evening opened with a performance from the internationally award-winning Maynooth University Chamber Choir, followed by the screening and an on-stage panel discussion with adventurer Hannah Shields, ocean racer Patrick Moran, and Enda O’Coineen himself. The conversation explored the film’s themes of resilience, daring leadership, and navigating uncertainty.

All proceeds from the evening went directly to the Foundation’s youth development work, building life skills, resilience and ambition in young people across the island of Ireland through the power of the sea.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event.
