Today, a different generation faces different challenges: climate change, biodiversity loss, ocean degradation, rapid technological change and unequal access to scientific and educational opportunity. Endurance 2 will carry that spirit forward, applying the power of exploration to the challenges of our own time.
OUR VISION
Research vessels provide essential access to the ocean, but ship time is costly and often highly constrained. For emerging scientists, educators and developing programmes, meaningful access to the sea can be particularly difficult.
At the same time, advances in sensing, communications, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and digital education are transforming what is possible: science, technology, education, exploration and storytelling combined in one platform, spanning multiple disciplines with global reach.

Connecting expeditions with the world.
A core ambition for Endurance 2 is to transform how students experience ocean exploration. Through live communications, interactive sessions, expedition content and scientific data, classrooms around the world will be able to follow expeditions in real time, meet scientists, ask questions, explore research and discover careers in science, technology, engineering and exploration.
The expedition becomes a classroom. The classroom becomes part of the expedition.

OUR FLAGSHIP AMBITION
Endurance 2 will require a global community. We are inviting philanthropists, scientific institutions, universities, technology organisations, educators, foundations and corporate partners to help shape its development, from founding philanthropy and vessel development to scientific infrastructure, laboratories, technology, research programmes, education, digital learning, communications, expedition partnerships and international collaboration.
